The 32-year-old actor, who has played Spencer James for the past six seasons on 'All American', has decided to leave the show as a series regular but will return to season 7 as a guest.

AceShowbiz - Daniel Ezra, who has played Spencer James in "All American" for the past six seasons, will depart as a series regular but will make guest appearances in season 7. After six seasons of leading "All American" as Spencer, Daniel Ezra has decided to leave the show as a series regular.

However, there is good news for fans, as Ezra will still appear in guest-starring roles during season 7. The decision was made before the start of Season 6 and was not the result of budget cuts as previously rumored.

Ezra's departure opens up the possibility for further casting changes, potentially introducing new characters to carry the show forward. In the Season 6 finale, Spencer is drafted into the NFL and proposes to Olivia. The final two episodes of the season will focus on their wedding plans.

In a statement, Ezra said, "After making the difficult decision to leave 'All American', my sole focus became completing the journey of the most life-affirming character I've ever played in the manner he deserves. Season 6 is 'Spencer's goodbye.' "

Showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll added, "Partnering with Daniel Ezra over the last six seasons to bring Spencer's story to life has been such an amazing, fulfilling experience. While Spencer has achieved his NFL dreams, I'm grateful Daniel will still remain an important part of this family."

"All American" is produced by Berlanti Productions, Warner Bros. Television, and CBS Studios. It is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Jameal Turner, Sarah Schechter, Mike Herro, David Strauss and Carroll.
