The 85-year-old actor and his longtime friend have shown their strong friendship and McKellen's recovery after his stage fall with a joyful dance video.

AceShowbiz - One week after 85-year-old actor Ian McKellen fell off the stage during a performance of "Player Kings", his longtime friend Anthony Hopkins has shared a video of the duo dancing.

In the heartwarming clip, the actors, dressed in matching plaid jackets, embrace and dance to Leonard Cohen's "Dance Me to the End of Love." Hopkins captioned the video, "Today I celebrate my dear friend, Ian and his unbreakable spirit… I love this man. 'We both have our Gucci on..." followed by a thank you to Salma Hayek.

McKellen's fall occurred on June 17 during a fight scene at the Noël Coward Theatre in London. He was rushed to the hospital and the production was canceled.

McKellen later thanked everyone for their support, saying, "To them, of course, I am hugely indebted. They have assured me that my recovery will be complete and speedy and I am looking forward to returning to work."

The production team confirmed that David Semark would replace McKellen in the final London performances. The national tour will begin on July 3.

Hopkins' video showcases the strong bond between the two actors and their resilience in the face of adversity. Fans have expressed their joy and support for McKellen's recovery in the video's comment section.
