AceShowbiz - Ree Drummond's oldest daughter, Alex Drummond Scott, and her husband, Mauricio Scott, have announced they are expecting their first child, who will be the first grandchild for the Food Network star. The couple shared the news on Instagram on June 23, expressing their excitement and gratitude for the "precious gift."
"We can't wait to meet you, little one. Baby Scott joining the party this winter!" they wrote in the caption, along with photos of them posing with their dog wearing a bandana that reads "Big Brother."
Drummond, 55, expressed her joy in the comments section, writing, "Beyond happy for you two!! (And for the whole family!) Love you, Alex and Mauricio!"
Alex's siblings, Paige, Bryce, Todd, and foster brother Jamar, also shared their excitement. Paige commented, "So happy I could cry. Can't wait to be an auntie!"
Drummond, who has been married to rancher Ladd Drummond for over 27 years, became a mother in 1997 with the arrival of Alex. The couple went on to welcome four more children within a four-year period.
Alex and Mauricio met during their freshman year at Texas A&M University and tied the knot at the Drummond Ranch in May 2021. While they initially stated they were in no rush to start a family, they have now shared their joy with their loved ones.
"Thank you Lord for this precious gift," Alex and Mauricio wrote in their announcement. "We can't wait for the future and all the adventures that await us as a growing family."
