This summer, the beloved game show host of 'Jeopardy!' is honored with a special stamp that will keep his legacy alive indefinitely, coinciding with the show's 60th anniversary.

AceShowbiz - To commemorate the life and legacy of Alex Trebek, the United States Postal Service (USPS) announced the release of a Forever stamp in his honor. The stamps will officially go on sale on July 22, which would have been Trebek's 84th birthday.

The stamp honors Trebek's remarkable 37-season run as the host of "Jeopardy!" The design features a grid of 20 stamps, mimicking the show's game board. Each stamp displays the clue, "This naturalized U.S. citizen hosted the quiz show 'Jeopardy!' for 37 seasons," with the answer, "Who is Alex Trebek?" written upside down.

"I'm excited to announce that the next icon to receive a stamp will be our very own Alex Trebek," said current "Jeopardy!" host Ken Jennings.

Along with the stamp release, USPS will host a first-day-of-issue event at the Sony Pictures Studios lot in Los Angeles, where "Jeopardy!" is taped. The event will be free and open to the public and will feature appearances by Secretary of the Board of Governors of the U.S. Postal Service Michael Elston, Jennings and Trebek's widow Jean.

Trebek, who died in 2020 at 80 following a battle with pancreatic cancer, was born in Canada but became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1998. He began hosting "Jeopardy!" in 1984 and became a beloved figure in American culture.

Pre-sales for the Alex Trebek Forever stamp began on Friday, June 2, at usps.com. Fans who live in the Los Angeles area can register to attend the first-day-of-issue event at usps.com/alextrebekstamp.
