The legendary TV star's final episode as host of 'Wheel of Fortune' becomes the game show's most-watched since April 2020, marking a significant milestone in the show's history.

AceShowbiz - Pat Sajak's final outing as the host of "Wheel of Fortune" on June 7 drew an impressive 11 million viewers, making it the game show's most-watched episode since April 2020 and the most-watched telecast of the week across all broadcast and cable networks excluding sports. It also achieved the highest household rating of the week with a 6.2.

All five of Sajak's final "Wheel of Fortune" episodes ranked among the Top 15 broadcasts of the week. Repeats of "Celebrity Wheel of Fortune" on ABC also experienced a boost, with the June 7 episode garnering 4.1 million viewers, marking the most-watched broadcast on a summer Friday in four years.

After more than 40 years as host, Sajak signed off from "Wheel of Fortune" in an emotional direct-to-camera address. He expressed his gratitude for the privilege of being invited into millions of homes and acknowledged the show's unique significance, stating, "But gradually it became more than that-a place where kids learned their letters, where people from other countries honed their English skills, where families came together."

Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White will take over hosting duties for season 42 of "Wheel of Fortune" in the fall.
