AceShowbiz - DDG has opened up about how he helped Halle Bailey go through her postpartum journey. The "She Don't Play" rapper, who welcomed a son with the actress in December 2023, shared his story in the latest episode of "For The Fellas".

"Just being patient man," the 26-year-old, who appeared on the show with Nick Cannon and Lance Gross, said. "Just keeping that in mind when you're going through something with her or maybe y'all might have a little disagreement or something or maybe we might butt heads here and there, but you know I try my best to be as patient as possible."

Halle opened up about her battle with severe postpartum depression in April. "Halo is a miracle. He's perfect. He's beautiful. But the only thing that's been hard for me is feeling normal in my own body. I feel like a completely different person when I look in the mirror," she said through a Snapchat video.

Despite the bliss of welcoming her baby boy, Halle's introduction to motherhood has been marred by "severe, severe postpartum depression." She admitted, "It's to the point where it's really bad... It's hard for me to be separated from my baby for more than 30 minutes at a time before I start to kind of freak out."

The Chloe x Halle member "didn't realize how serious of a thing it actually was." Fortunately, she experienced moments of respite. "There are moments where you come up for air, and they feel like the most beautiful things," she said.

Halle was also grateful for having a strong support system during such vulnerable times. "The Little Mermaid (2023)" leading lady then praised her rapper boyfriend, whom she warmly refers to as "Moo Moo", for being "the most amazing daddy in the world."
