AceShowbiz - Just months shy of its 30th anniversary, "Friends" has left an indelible mark on fans worldwide. In an interview with Quinta Brunson for Variety's Actors on Actors series, Jennifer Aniston reminisced about the show's early days.
Aniston recalled the day of the premiere, when she and Matthew Perry played a prank on Lisa Kudrow while she was getting her hair colored. "I snuck up on her in the sink and started washing her hair," Aniston said. "It flew out of control, but the excitement we had felt like yesterday."
Beyond the pranks, Aniston emphasized the enduring bond between the cast, who continue to remain close. "We still talk to each other," she said. "We're a family forever."
The actress also spoke about the show's staying power, saying it remains "one of the greatest gifts" for the cast. "The fact that it still means a lot to people is something we never could have imagined," she said.
Aniston's interview was tinged with emotion as she remembered the late Matthew, who died in 2023. "He was such a part of our DNA," she said. "We see each other all the time. It's a family forever."
In addition, Aniston and Brunson discussed the impact of social media on their respective experiences in the entertainment industry. Brunson expressed her longing for the days without the pressures of social media, while Aniston mentioned implementing a strict no-social media policy for the first season of "Abbott Elementary".
