Carrie-Anne Moss talks about embracing nature and family life in New Hampshire away from the Hollywood life in Los Angeles following her wedding with Steven Roy.

AceShowbiz - After nearly three decades of living in the bustling city of Los Angeles, Carrie-Anne Moss, famed for her role as Trinity in "The Matrix", decided it was time for a change. The actress, along with her husband Steven Roy and their three children, relocated to New Hampshire in 2020.

"We were just really craving a quieter life, less traffic, more nature - and I have to say, I like change," Moss shared in a recent interview with PEOPLE. The move marked a significant shift towards a lifestyle more connected with nature, enabling Moss to enjoy the serenity of seeing stars at night, being surrounded by trees, and experiencing all four seasons.

Moss' career began to flourish after she moved to L.A. in the early '90s to film the CBS crime drama "Dark Justice". The city's entertainment industry offered her ample opportunities, leading to her iconic role in "The Matrix" alongside Keanu Reeves in 1999.

"Never thought in a million years I would get it," she admits. That same year, she also tied the knot with actor Steven Roy, whom she describes as her "best friend." The couple's shared passion for their family life has remained a strong foundation for their relationship, which celebrated its 25th anniversary this year.

The nature-rich, tranquil environment of New Hampshire has also been beneficial for Moss's dedication to meditation and Kundalini yoga. She refers to these practices as "medicine for my soul and spirit," especially as she navigates the challenges of parenthood.

"You have a huge responsibility when you have children; you want them to have a great life, and you want the world to be a wonderful place for them," Moss explains. Her children, now ages 21, 18, and 15, have been a focus of her concerns, prompting her to find solace in her yoga and meditation practices to manage stress and maintain faith.

Reaching the 25-year milestone in her marriage with Roy is a testament to their enduring partnership. Moss, who doesn't view time and age conventionally, expresses gratitude for her happiness and well-being. "I feel like everyone's sort of my age, then they're 35 or they're 75," she muses. "I'm just grateful that I'm happy. I look at it more from that perspective. How vital and healthy can I be?"
