AceShowbiz - Ending a marriage is not easy for Chelsea Lazkani. Despite being "completely devastated" over her split with Jeff Lazkani, the "Selling Sunset" star kept on making their separation legal because she believed her husband was "unfaithful."
"Chelsea believes Jeff was unfaithful in their marriage and that is why she filed for divorce," a source told Us Weekly. "The divorce has been looming for weeks now and she decided to abruptly file. She is completely devastated right now and is especially upset for her the sake of their children."
The insider added that Chelsea believes the infidelity "had been going on for months" before she decided to file for divorce. "She had suspected the cheating for a while and wanted to catch him in the act before filing," said the informant.
"She finally had enough and decided to file this week, but it was a long time coming," the source continued. "She is still in the house with their kids. She wants him to stay out of the house, and they are not on speaking terms."
Chelsea filed for divorce from Jeff on Wednesday, March 27, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind their split. The luxury realtor didn't reveal the exact date of separation.
Chelsea and Jeff share two kids together, 5-year-old Maddox and 3-year-old Melia. In her paperwork, she requested joint physical and legal custody of their children.
The real estate agent also asked for spousal support but didn't request for the court to terminate Jeff's ability to ask for alimony. There was no mention of a prenup in the divorce documents.
