The Netflix star, who announced his departure from the show last November, sparked feud speculations when he was caught unfollowing his co-star on Instagram.

AceShowbiz - Bobby Berk is spilling the tea. In a new interview, the star got candid about his beef with his former "Queer Eye" co-star Tan France while also detailing why he decided to depart the Netflix series.

In the interview with Vanity Fair published on Thursday, January 25, Bobby shared that he and Tan "had a moment." He further explained, "There was a situation, and that's between Tan and I, and it has nothing to do with the show. It was something personal that had been brewing - and nothing romantic, just to clarify that."

The reality TV star sparked feud speculations when he was caught unfollowing Tan on Instagram. Expressing regret, Bobby said in the interview, "Should I have unfollowed Tan? No. Maybe I should have just muted him. But that day, I was angry, and that's the end of it. We became like siblings - and siblings are always going to fight."

Despite the fight, Bobby noted that he's open for reconciliation with Tan. "I will always have a very special place in my heart for him and Rob (France's husband) and the kids," he divulged. "I can foresee in six months or a year, Tan and I at each other's house being good. The Emmys was already the first bandage on that wound."

When asked if his beef with Tan was the reason he left "Queer Eye", Bobby responded, "For the most part." He said that he and the rest of the Fab Five Crew, including Tan, Jonathan Van Ness, Antoni Porowski and Karamo Brown, initially believed it was time to move from the show after six years.

"We thought we were done. Mentally and emotionally, I thought we all moved on. I know I did, and I started planning other things," Bobby divulged. When Netflix extended their contract for four more seasons, Bobby decided to pass on it while others accepted the offer.

Bobby admitted to feeling "mad" when the other cast members changed their mind. "All the plans that I had made when I thought we weren't coming back, I just wasn't willing to change those," he said. "I would have had to pump the brakes on multiple other projects that are already in process. We had mentally just prepared ourselves to move on - that's why I left."

Bobby announced his departure from "Queer Eye" in November 2023, much to fans' shock. "It's with a heavy heart that I announce that season 8 will be my final season on Queer Eye. It's not been an easy decision to be at peace with, but a necessary one," Bobby wrote in a lengthy Instagram post at the time.

He concluded, "Although my journey with Queer Eye is over, my journey with you is not. You will be seeing more of me very soon. I love you all so so much and I'll meet you all in Nola for one final season. #foreverthefab5."
