The 'Daisy Jones and the Six' actress would rather taking on a role on the big screen because there's often not enough 'rehearsal time' when it comes to TV shows.

AceShowbiz - Riley Keough finds it difficult to work in television due to its "fast" pace. The 34-year-old actress - who made her first leading small screen role with "Daisy Jones + the Six" and previously appeared in the likes of "Riverdale", "The Terminal List", and "The Girlfriend Experience" - admitted she prefers working in movies because there is more time to prepare for a scene.
"In my experience, that's where I've struggled the most, because it's so fast. You're not getting that time. With film, you're usually lucky enough to get rehearsal time. With TV, it's so quick and things change so much," she said of working in TV when speaking during a panel discussion at The Indigenous House presented by IllumiNative at the Sundance Film Festival.
Riley - who is promoting her film "Sasquatch Sunset" explained she values creative freedom above anything else and her own filmmaking approach sees her focus on doing "so much prep that when you get there, you are allowed the freedom to just live in the moment."
She added, "It's the same with acting. I will obviously learn my scenes very well, but I also really like being spontaneous. I'm not somebody who does it the same every time. I don't like hitting my mark. It's one of those things, I don't want to do that. I can, and especially with TV, you have to, but I think that I really thrive when I'm allowed to have freedom."
And when Riley gets behind the camera, such as for her directorial debut "War Pony", she deliberately sets out to "create that" for herself because she knows actors "don't always get that." She added, "Whenever I'm allowed the freedom of feeling like I'm doing it the first time every time, is what I'll do."
