AceShowbiz - Travis Barker has reacted to backlash after he shared a video of himself playing drums during his wife Kourtney Kardashian's labor. Making use of his Twitter account on Monday, November 13, the Blink-182 drummer seemingly downplayed the criticism.
The 47-year-old responded to a Barstool Sports article which claimed that he was "roasted to death" on TikTok. Travis didn't say much as he only left a laughing-and-crying face emoji in the comments section, laughing off the criticism.
Among those who slammed Travis for his behavior was "The View" co-host Sunny Hostin. "I love it for her," Sunny said in the Friday, November 10 episode of the ABC daytime talk show. "I personally would have wanted to punch him in the throat because when you are in labor and you are birthing, you need, like, zen."
Sunny noted that women needed peace during labor as they went through a lot of "emotions" and "pain." The mom of two shared, "I just remember my son for his third birthday got a drum and I wanted to die. It's so loud. It's not calming!" Sunny, however, said that she would easily approve of the rocker's act if Kourtney "loves" it.
Some other Internet users echoed Sunny's sentiment. "That wouldn't be annoying at all," one person wrote sarcastically. Someone else wrote, "You know where those sticks would end up…"
Sunny seemingly didn't have to worry as Kourtney appeared to love her husband's act. "The Kardashians" took to Instagram Stories to post a TikTok video of her husband playing percussion from a stool in her hospital room. "Practicing to my babies heartbeat," Travis cheekily captioned his TikTok post.
Kourtney reportedly gave birth to her fourth child Rocky Thirteen Barker, her first with Travis, on October 31. "Kourtney is over the moon about her son's arrival. Her pregnancy took a stressful turn towards the end. She is happy to just be able to snuggle her baby boy now. She feels so blessed," a source noted at the time.
