In a video posted on her social media pages, the one-half of The Judds addresses the eyebrow-raising moment that saw her holding tightly to her duet partner's jacket onstage.

AceShowbiz - Wynonna Judd wants people to rest assured that she is okay. The country music star has "come clean" after her bizarre performance with Jelly Roll at the 2023 CMA Awards drew concerns from viewers and fans, blaming it on her nerves.

The one-half of The Judds spoke out on the matter via her social media pages. In a video which was initially posted on TikTok on late Wednesday, November 8, she admitted that people's reactions caught her attention. "OK, so they say 'Don't read the comments' - I read the comments," she began in the clip which was filmed in a plane.

Looking in good spirits, the 59-year-old explained what happened onstage during her duet with Jelly, "I'm just gonna come clean with y'all. I was so freaking nervous. I got out there, and I looked at [my duet partner] Jelly Roll. I wanted it to be so good for him."

"I could cry right now, but I'm not going to because I'm such a fan of his, and he asked me to sing, and I said, 'Absolutely!' " she continued. "I got out there, and I was just so nervous that I just held on for dear life, and that's the bottom line."

Assuring that she is in good shape, Wynonna went on revealing she was on her way to Texas to perform on Thursday night. "I'll be on stage tomorrow night with the people I love the most, and with you, the fans I love the most," she added. "And all is well."

At the 57th Annual Country Music Association Awards which was held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, Wynonna was billed among the musical performers. Kicking off the show with a performance of "Need a Favor" with Jelly, she walked out on the stage by taking small steps. At one point, she grabbed Jelly's arm, giving off the impression she needed help to stay on her feet. Despite that, she managed to finish the song and leave the stage on her own.

Still, fans took to social media to express their concerns over Wynonna's health. "She could barely walk. She took baby steps," one pointed out. Another asked, "Am I the only one concerned for @Wynonna."

A third claimed, "Something is wrong with her. Hope she is ok. Wynonna Judd is holding on to Jelly Roll for dear life #CMAawards," while a confused fan inquired, "It was seriously bizarre. I wonder what's going on? She barely moved once she got a death grip on him."
