AceShowbiz - Lil Uzi Vert and JT have reportedly called it quits after dating on-and-off since 2019. The two hip-hop artists have sparked the speculation that they pulled the plug on their relationship following their eyebrow-raising social media moves.
Lil Uzi, who uses they/them pronounces, has recently wiped their Instagram clean, leaving one photo of themself, and unfollowed everyone. Meanwhile, JT is no longer following the "You Was Right" emcee.
According Media Take Out, a person close to the couple confirmed that Lil Uzi and JT are officially over, but the reason that led to their alleged split remains unknown.
Just a few days before, Lil Uzi shared some cryptic messages via Instagram Stories, hinting at problems in their relationship with JT. "The most attention I could get is by dropping music," they wrote on Thursday, October 26. "I understand y'all don't believe me, but it starts with me 2 show you that I'm actually serious. I'm very stressed out and done with so many voice's controlling my life. It's like I never lived for me. I would give up all the money and perks that this comes with 2 live a perfectly normal life. I'm okay with it."
"Why not stop now because business doesn't work like that I have one more album 2 turn in after that I finally can genuinely smile," the 28-year-old continued. "I've been getting Judged from day 1 I never respond 2 negativity. I have a talented but I also have a heart and have been holding in a lot."
"...Im not as close to my family as I should be. My relationship isn't in the best shape. I JUST WANNA BREATHE...," the "XO Tour Llif3" hitmaker lamented, before adding in a separate Story, "I've been distant from everyone lately, even if they are standing right next to me."
Back in June, Lil Uzi and JT were involved in drama at the 2023 BET Awards. They were caught on camera having a heated argument, during which the raptress threw her phone at her boyfriend. It was reported that the City Girls star was mad at Lil Uzi after the latter was talking to Ice Spice.
However, in a recent interview on "The Breakfast Club", JT denied that she was upset at her man because Lil Uzi was staring at Ice. JT claimed it had something to do with Lil Uzi's homeboy A$AP Bari. But Bari contradicted JT's claim, saying that the commotion was indeed ignited by JT's jealousy over Ice.
