AceShowbiz - Is it a double date? Nelly, Ashanti, Jermaine Dupri and Janet Dupri raised people's eyebrows when they were seen hanging out together during Janet's Instagram Live over the weekend.
During the live, the four were joined by other pals as they seemed to be having fun at a karaoke bar. Janet could be seen lounging on a sofa, dancing to the music, with Jermaine sitting next to her.
Ashanti, meanwhile, was seen moving her body to the music. She dressed casually during the outing, opting for a black hoodie and a pair of denim pants. As for Nelly, the "Hot in Herre" rapper joined them in an all-white ensemble with a cup of drink in one of his hands.
A fan who reshared the clip thought that the get-together was a double date for the pair. "Janet Jd Ashanti Nelly was this a double date?" the fan wrote over the video.
Upon catching wind of the clip, Internet users were so excited over the idea. "I love to see it," one said in an Instagram comment. "Love this for them…," someone else echoed the sentiment. One other called them their "fav couples."
Nelly and Ashanti, who used to date for a decade before splitting in 2015, have been rumored that they rekindled their romance after they were spotted hanging out together. "Nelly and Ashanti are back together and both of them are very happy," a source told ET in May. Backing up the claim, another source claims to the outlet, "Nelly and Ashanti are really enjoying their time together."
As for Jermaine and Janet, the legendary producer previously denied having a romantic reunion with the "Together Again" singer. When met backstage at Lovers & Friends festival in May, participated in a word association game of sorts.
