Other celebrity to honor the Chandler Bing depicter on 'Friends' following his sudden death is Maggie Wheeler, who played his character's on-and-off girlfriend Janice on the famed sitcom.

AceShowbiz - A number of celebrities were left "brokenhearted" by Matthew Perry's sudden death. Upon learning of the "Friends" alum's passing, the likes of Selma Blair, Mira Sorvino and Paget Brewster took to social media to pen their final tributes to him.

On Saturday, October 28, Selma shared on Instagram a selfie of him and the late actor. She captioned it, "My oldest boy friend. All of us loved Matthew Perry, and I did especially. Every day. I loved him unconditionally. And he me. And I'm broken. Broken hearted. Sweet dreams Matty. Sweet dreams."

Paget, meanwhile, wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "I'm so very sad to hear about @MatthewPerry. He was lovely to me on Friends and every time I saw him in the decades after. Please read his book. It was his legacy to help. He won't rest in peace though." She added, "He's already too busy making everyone laugh up there."

Mira remembered Matthew by writing on her own page, "Oh no!!! Matthew Perry!! You sweet, troubled soul!!" The Oscar winner continued, "May you find peace and happiness in Heaven, making everyone laugh with your singular wit!!!"

Also honoring Matthew was broadcaster Piers Morgan, who penned on X, "RIP Matthew Perry, 54. The Friends star was a great actor, but by his own admission, a very tormented guy. His recent autobiography about his addiction-ravaged life was one of the most powerful, honest and revealing I've ever read. Such sad news." Rosie O'Donnell, meanwhile, called the news of Matthew's death "too hard" to accept.

Maggie Wheeler, who played Matthew's character's on-and-off girlfriend on "Friends" lamented in an Instagram post, "What a loss. The world will miss you Matthew Perry." She then noted, "The joy you brought to so many in your too short lifetime will live on. I feel so very blessed by every creative moment we shared."

Official Instagram accounts of "Friends" and Warner Bros. TV issued a joint statement that read, "We are devastated to learn of Matthew Perry's passing. He was a true gift to us all." The message added, "Our heart goes out to his family, loved ones, and all of his fans."

Matthew died at age 54 in a suspected accidental drowning at his home jacuzzi. Sources told TMZ that there were no drugs found at the scene and no foul play was involved.

The actor was last seen out at a restaurant called The Apple Pan in Los Angeles, where he appeared downcast despite being out with friends. Matthew's final post on Instagram showed him enjoying a dip in what appeared to be a jacuzzi. The caption read, "Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I'm Mattman."
