AceShowbiz - Kanye West is seemingly no longer having the desire to be the U.S. president. According to his lawyer, the 46-year-old controversial rapper has decided to drop out of the 2024 presidential race.

"He's not a candidate for office in 2024," Ye's personal attorney Bruce Marks told Rolling Stone on Friday, October 20. The lawyer additionally noted that the 46-year-old hip-hop star, who used to do YE24 campaign on social media, will be "winding down his campaign apparatus."

While Ye, who ran for 2020 presidential election, is known for often changing his mind, it seemed like this one is a final decision. A source told the news outlet that the possibility of him resuming his campaign was "beyond remote."

Prior to this, it was said that Ye's campaign was filled with "dysfunction and malfunction from the beginning." Devin White, the rapper's former 2020 treasurer, compared his campaign to "building an airplane with no wings," adding, "It wasn't meant to fly."

Back in 2020, Ye collected a minuscule 60,000 votes on the ballot in 12 states. He got his highest number of votes in Tennessee (10,188).

Meanwhile, a recent report suggested that Ye's focusing on making new music as he's preparing a new album with Ty Dolla $ign. The Chicago native was also said to be planning to hold a big concert in Italy at RCF Arena near Reggio Emilia on October 27. However, he was forced to pause the plan following a number of criticisms after reportedly pissing off several groups of local veterans, who represent former partisans fighting against Adolf and the Nazis.

"Given the fact that a rail strike was planned the same day, and that heavy rain is due it was thought prudent to postpone the event," a spokesperson told Daily Mail earlier this month. "Our aim is to ensure the safety and security of all and if there is a transport issue then the concert cannot go ahead safely."

"And as it is open air, the heavy rain forecast would have also created problems," the spokesperson continued. "The organizers have been given an alternative date of October 27 and we are waiting to hear back if it is acceptable to them."
