AceShowbiz - Bella Hadid has proudly revealed that she is "almost 10 months" sober. After being reported to have been in daily treatment for Lyme disease, the former Victoria's Secret Angel shared the good news with her hundreds of million followers as she returned to social media.
On Tuesday, July 25, the 26-year-old model announced her sobriety via Instagram. She wrote, "I'm so proud of anyone pushing through dry July. With Kin and lots of self love, I am almost 10 months no alcohol!" She went on to say, "I'm so proud of anyone discovering their sobriety Or anyone who has had the courage to open their mind to Dry July!"
In the post, Bella was promoting her non-alcoholic functional beverages from a brand that she co-founded named Kin Euphorics. Along with pictures of her getting the drink in one of the Sprouts stores and the drink itself, she first expressed her excitement, "I'm so excited that our newest @kineuphorics potion Actual Sunshine is finally available at @sprouts in time for Dry July!"
The younger sister of Gigi Hadid further shared her favorite drink, "I'm not one to take favorites but this baby is my #1 right now. Can't go a morning without her. It truly tastes like summer in a can, and helps you get that radiant, post-vacation glow with its unique stack of vitamins + adaptogens."
"It makes me feel like I just want to smile, straight up. Let us do the honor of fillin you up with LOVE & sunshine. [sun and yellow heart emojis]," Bella continued. She additionally encouraged her fans to get the drinks by saying, "Head to Sprouts now, my angels, you wont regret it, I promise," adding a yellow heart emoji.
The post did not take long to be flooded with positive responses. In the comments section, one Instagram user wrote, "10 months !!! Go bb go! I'm nearly at 7 months. Dry July is proving to be challenging." Another joined in, "Proud of you!! no alcohol myself since the beginning of june, realized my life is plenty fun without it."
Bella's sobriety announcement came a few days after she was said to have been doing a "daily treatment" due to her Lyme disease. "Bella Hadid has been on medical leave for the past four months, and is in daily treatment for Lyme disease," a source spoke to Entertainment Tonight.
The source explained, "Nine months ago, Bella decided she wanted to stop drinking, so she stopped. She has been sober for nine months and has never had an alcohol or drug problem." The source further clarified, "Bella is not in rehab."
