AceShowbiz - Big stars flocked to the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles for the premiere of long-awaited "Barbie" movie on Sunday, July 9. Among those who turned heads at the event was leading star Margot Robbie, who perfectly channeled the iconic Mattel toy despite not wearing a pink ensemble.
The Australian actress hit the pink carpet in a beautiful black sequin Schiaparelli dress. The shimmery strapless piece hugged her body as it featured an A-line structure that cut off at her shins and turned into a voluminous tulle hem. The "Birds Of Prey: And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn" star completed her look with black peep-toe Manolo Blahnik slides.
Even though she skipped pink, Margot stayed true to her recent repertoire of Mattel-approved looks as she was channeling the 1960 Solo in the Spotlight doll. She and her stylist Andrew Mukamal's faithful recreation could also be seen in how she added velvet opera gloves, layers of diamond choker necklaces and a single red rosette perched along the frilly tutu.
The star, whose blonde hair was styled in a high-ponytail updo with finger curls along the side, mimicked the doll while carrying a pale-pink silk mousseline scarf.
Also setting pulses racing at the event was Dua Lipa. The multi-hyphenate, who serves "Barbie" movie soundtrack's "Dance the Night", at the film's star-studded event slipped into a slinky sheer silver chainmail dress featuring a square neckline, a floor-skimming hem and lots of shimmer.
The "Levitating" hitmaker flaunted her enviable bod by donning the totally see-through gown over nothing but a matching crystal-covered thong. She additionally opted to free the nipple as she went braless. Completing the look, she finished the look by adding a simple diamond choker, holographic silver heels and silver drop earrings.
As for Ryan Gosling, he suited up in an all-pink outfit for the premiere. He paired the look with pale shoes that matched his shirt. Fellow "Barbie" stars, including America Ferrera, Ariana Greenblatt, Issa Rae and Greta Gerwig, looked amazing in pink ensembles. As for Simu Liu, he opted for a blue suit.
"Barbie" is scheduled to open in theaters on July 21.
