After the 36-year-old is accused of performing Beyonce's hit 'Single Ladies' in blackface, her reps deny that the comedian/YouTuber wore blackface in the resurfaced footage.

AceShowbiz - Colleen Ballinger's team has set the record straight after she was accused of performing Beyonce Knowles' "Single Ladies" in blackface. On Thursday, July 6, her representatives claimed that the comedian/YouTuber didn't actually wear blackface in the resurfaced footage.

"What you don't see in the clip that was posted online is that Colleen was performing a song from 'Wicked' with Oliver Tompsett, a star from the show," Law firm Berk Brettler explained. "She painted her face green like the witch. After that number, she went right into 'Single Ladies' (while still wearing the green makeup)."

Legal representatives for Colleen went on to say, "At that time, she closed all her shows with that Beyonce number - it was one of her most popular bits." The rep also provided a video of Colleen's full performance, in which she went directly from her "Wicked" duet into her rendition of "Single Ladies" while wearing the same makeup as she changed only her outfit.

Colleen faced backlash after social media influencer Paige Christie posted the footage on Twitter on Wednesday. "I'm gonna need someone to explain the black on her face," Paige wrote.

In the viral clip, the comedian could be seen comically singing the hit track with dark makeup on her mug. Donning a black bodysuit, Colleen, who is famous for her viral character Miranda Sings, led the performance.

The footage, which was seemingly taken sometime in 2017 or 2018, also featured the audience cheering for her as she awkwardly sang and danced to the song. It was also said that the controversial video was offered as an exclusive sneak peek to folks who bought Colleen's book, "My Diarrhe".

Prior to the blackface allegations, Colleen already landed in hot water as she's accused of having inappropriate and exploitative relationships with underage fans. Colleen recently addressed the allegations while singing and playing ukulele in a 10-minute YouTube video titled "hi."

In the video, Colleen compared the accusations to a "toxic gossip train" headed for "manipulation station" while the rest of the internet "tie me to the tracks and harass me for my past." She also admitted that there were "times in the DMs when I would overshare details of my life-which was really weird of me-and I haven't done that in years because I changed my behavior and took accountability."

Her ex-husband Joshua David Evans then weighed in on the matter in a Twitter post. "This behavior was my reality anytime I spoke up & disagreed with her actions & rhetoric during 2009-2016," Joshua wrote on the blue bird app on Wednesday, June 28. "I was gaslit too. I was made to feel like I was always the problem. Any pain I felt was an inconvenience and was belittled."
