According to a new report, the former 'The View' co-host axed Wendy's longtime executive producers David Perler and Suzanne Bass who served as EPs for her show 'Sherri' that premiered last fall.

AceShowbiz - Sherri Shepherd appears to eliminate anything related to Wendy Williams from her eponymous daytime talk show. According to a new report, Sherri axed Wendy's longtime executive producers David Perler and Suzanne Bass who served as EPs for "Sherri" that premiered last fall.

Sources tell Page Six that both David and Suzanne, who appeared with Wendy on camera daily, were fired this week as the first season of "Sherri" concludes at the end of this month. The actress allegedly wants "fresh energy" for the upcoming second season of her show.

David, however, isn't surprised by the decision since he stayed on "to help get through the hump of launching a new show," one source claims. As for Suzanne, she was more of a "sidekick and buffer" to Wendy's former "Hot Topics" act, which isn't as useful for Sherri. "Suzanne was on camera for a decade with Wendy," another insider says.

Sherri brought in her producer best friend, Jawn Murray, to partially take on that role. In response to the report, a spokesperson for Debmar-Mercury, the production company behind both shows, tells the news outlet, "We will announce a new executive producer for the second season to serve alongside [Jawn]."

The spokesperson further mentions that David and Suzanne "have been integral to Debmar-Mercury's success in daytime syndication for many years and have helped launch 'Sherri'… Debmar Mercury wishes them all the best on future endeavors and hopes to work with them in the future."

Meanwhile, Wendy is said to have been filming a new project. Shawn Zanotti, a representative for the former daytime show queen, said in April, "After taking a long break, Wendy feels some of the best days of her life were in media." The rep, however, clarified that it wasn't for a reality show.

She went on saying, "She has been in media since her early 20's and wants to return to what she loves. Getting back to what she loves is something that is important to her. Yes, Wendy is filming…Yes, she is gearing up for something and the specifics of that can't be disclosed as of yet."

Prior to the clarification, Wendy allegedly filmed her new reality show at her childhood home in New Jersey. According to sources, the TV personality, who grew up in Ashbury Park, New Jersey, has been traveling the country to gather footage for the series, which is scheduled to launch this fall.
