During her appearance on 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen', the comedian is asked to weigh in on the 'Oops! …I Did It Again' singer's upcoming memoir 'The Woman in Me'.

AceShowbiz - Sherri Shepherd angered Britney Spears' fans with her remarks about the pop princess. During her appearance on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen", the comedian was asked to weigh in on Britney's upcoming memoir "The Woman in Me".

In the episode, Andy asked Sherri and Issa Rae, who also served as guest in the episode, if they cared about the highly-anticipated book. The "Insecure" star told the Bravo honcho that she couldn't wait to read the tell-all book, which is set to be released on October 24, as the excerpts revealed that Britney "has been dropping a lot of tea."

"She said that Justin Timberlake cheated on her with another celebrity!" the 38-year-old star exclaimed. That prompted Sherri to ask, "Another Mouseketeer?"

Andy then asked Sherri if she gave "a damn" about Britney's memoir. "Not really," the 56-year-old comedian replied. " 'Cause how many chapters are you gonna have - crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy and crazy," she added.

Issa looked disappointed as she yelled, "Sherri!" The "Sherri" host, however, didn't seem to regret her comments as she doubled down, "I said it."

Upon catching wind of the dig, fans quickly put Sherri on blast. "Why would [you] call someone that went through so much scrutiny from the media and destroyed her mentality 'crazy'?!" someone asked. Another commented, "Yikes….that's not very nice of her."

One other demanded, "I need this woman to be held accountable for her words, IMMEDIATELY." Someone added, "What an entirely dismissive thing to say about someone who's survived such trauma. … Who else has single-handedly pushed the public to reexamine conservatorships to the degree she has?"

Another critic brought up Wendy Williams as saying, "What's crazy is thinking you can ever replace Wendy Williams." For context, Wendy's talk show "The Wendy Williams Show" was canceled and was replaced by Sherri's.

Sherri has yet to respond to the criticism.
