Following a wardrobe snafu where the pin holding the top of her dress together popped, the 'Sherri' host says she's going to go under the knife during the show's hiatus this summer.

AceShowbiz - Sherri Shepherd is putting her health first. The actress/author has revealed her plans to go under the knife to get breast reduction surgery because she has been experiencing back problems.
Speaking with ET on Tuesday, April 4 ahead of Variety's Power of Women Luncheon in Midtown Manhattan, the "Sherri" host got candid about her issue with her chest. "I think I'm getting my boobies done. I think I'm getting a little reduction because my back is starting to hurt, so that's a big one," she said.
Sherri said she's planning to have the surgery when her talk show goes on hiatus this summer. But that is not the only thing that she's going to do these coming months as she also focuses on her movie career and being a mom.
"I got a couple of movies I'm supposed to be... I got audition as a matter of fact," she said, before adding with a laugh, "People keep forgetting I'm an actress." She further confirmed, "So, yes, I have an audition for a movie and I'm working on a children's book. And I'm gonna be a mother. Jeffrey needs me more before he starts school again."
Sherri revealed her plans to get breast reduction surgery weeks after she had a wardrobe malfunction on her talk show. During live broadcast of the March 9 episode, the pin holding the top of her dress together to keep her chest intact popped.
"We had a little bit of a wardrobe snafu. In daytime [television], you can't have this much boob out," she said as she settled into her chair. "So, before the doors open, Willie [her stylist] said, 'It's too much boob!' "
"... so he pinned it right before the doors were supposed to open up. I keep telling him, 'It's heavy. They're going to pull it forward,' " she shared. "And I was standing there praying for y'all ... and as the doors were opening up, the pin popped. I just pulled it and threw it out! And so as I walked out, I could just hear Willie go, [gasp]."
Sherri then said of her stylist who was fixing her dress, "So he's back here fixing it but he keeps pinning it in the back but I keep telling him it's heavy. They're going to keep pulling it forward. But we gotta do what we gotta do. So everyone, give Willie a hand."
Jawn Murray, the show's executive producer, enthused, "This is the magic of live television, everybody!"
