Ronnie Turner's cause of death is listed as complications of metastatic colon carcinoma, based on the results of autopsy performed by L.A. County Coroner's Office.

AceShowbiz - The cause of death of Tina Turner's son has been revealed, less than a week after his sudden passing. Ronnie Turner died of "complications of metastatic colon carcinoma," which is a form of cancer, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's office.

Colorectal is the fourth-leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Metastatic means that the patient's cancer has spread from its site of origin to another part of the body. According to TMZ, Ronnie only struggled with cancer three weeks before his death.

The autopsy results also revealed that Ronnie suffered from atherosclerosis heart disease, which is a thickening or hardening of the arteries due to buildup of fats and cholesterol. His place of death was listed as "sidewalk."

Ronnie passed away on December 9 after law enforcement got a 911 call from a person who said Ronnie was outside their home and having a hard time breathing. A few minutes later, he stopped breathing and they failed to resuscitate him. When paramedics arrived at the San Fernando Valley address, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tina mourned her son's death in a statement posted on social media. "Ronnie, you left the world far too early. In sorrow I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved son," she wrote along with a black-and-white picture of the singer with her eyes closed.

Ronnie's wife, French singer Afida Turner, also posted a tribute to Instagram, calling him a "true angel" and her "best friend." She said, "I did the best to the end this time I was no(t) able to save you. Love you for... 17 years this is very very very bad and I am very mad. This is a tragedy u with your brother Craig and your father Ike Turner and Aline rest in paradise… So unfair."

Ronnie is Tina's youngest son, whom she shares with her former husband Ike Turner. Her first son Craig Hill, whom she shares with Kings of Rhythm saxophonist Raymond Hill, was found dead in July 2018 in an apparent suicide. The Queen of Rock 'n' Roll also adopted her ex-husband Ike's two sons, Ike Jr. and Mike. Ike Jr.
