In response to the sweet gesture, the 'Anaconda' hitmaker, who took home the prestigious award at the 2022 MTV VMAs, takes to her Instagram account to gush over the power couple.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z are supportive friends for Nicki Minaj. The power couple sent a beautiful bouquet of flowers to the "Super Freaky Girl" femcee after the latter was honored with Vanguard Award at the 2022 MTV VMAs on Sunday, August 28.

In response to the sweet gesture, Nicki took to her Instagram account to gush over Bey and Hov. She shared a video of the flowers which also came with a note from the pair. "Congrats on your beautiful award. Sending you all our love. Hov & B Holla," read the note.

Expressing her gratitude, Nicki wrote over the clip, "Thank you so much. The both of you. For everything."

Fans were loving the interactions between the musicians. "Oh she got good friends," one fan raved. "Legends recognize legends!" another person added. Praising Nicki, a Barb commented, "She's the baddest she deserves all the flowers in the world." Another comment, meanwhile, read, "Support. It means more than people know."

At this year's MTV VMAs, Nicki took home the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award which was one of the night's most prestigious honors. The "Bang Bang" raptress joins the likes of Kanye West, Justin Timberlake and Beyonce as the honorees of the coveted award. Created in 1984 and renamed after Michael in 1991, the award recognizes artists' overall achievements in music and video.

During her award acceptance speech, Nicki gave a special nod to "key people" whom she considers some of her biggest inspirations and that included Hov and Bey. "I want to take a second to just say thank you to all the key people that inspired me, who I think inspired my flow: Lil Wayne, Foxy Brown, Lauryn Hill, Jay-Z, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh." She continued, "People who gave me huge opportunities that I'll never forget: Kanye West, Beyonce, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Eminem, Britney Spears, Rihanna."

The "Super Bass" hitmaker also highlighted the importance of mental wellness. "I don't know why y'all but this was in my spirit to say. I wish that Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson were here," she shared. "I wish that people understood what they meant and what they were going through. I wish people took mental health seriously even for the people who you think have the perfect lives."

Wrapping up her speech, Nicki gave a shout out her son Papa Bear, whom she shares with husband Kenneth Petty.
