Richard Glass, who was photographed with the 'Psycho' star when she visited his salon Glass Hair in Venice on the day of her accident on August 5, says he has been trolled over her death.

AceShowbiz - Richard Glass, who may have been the last person to see Anne Heche before her tragic car crash, has spoken up on the backlash that he's received in the wake of her passing. Richard was photographed with the actress when she visited his salon Glass Hair in Venice on the day of her accident, August 5.

In an interview with TMZ, Richard revealed he was trolled by social media users and blamed for Anne's death. He got emotional as he addressed allegations that he might have supplied the awards-winning actress with drugs before she crashed his car into a house.

"There are people who are nice and there are people who are just evil," he said through tears, adding that they're "making accusations that I had something to do with what her toxicology report said." Of how it affected him, he confessed, "It's just a lot."

"They're saying she could have got the cocaine or the fentanyl from me because I was the last person to see her," Richard continued, before denying the allegations, "I've never done any type of drugs. I don't do that. I'm not that type of person." He admitted, "It's been really, really [tiring] and taxing."

Richard went on sharing that he's riddled with guilt because he wasn't able to save her. "I just feel a huge remorse I feel like I could've done something more," he lamented. "I feel like the universe sent her here for me to impact some kind of way and I just feel like I didn't do everything I was supposed to, like to keep her here to protect her."

The salon owner tearfully said, "I'm extremely emotional about it because it's just wearing on my heart, this woman, she needed help and I wasn't there enough. I'm sorry." He said that he might need therapy to deal with the emotions.

Prior to the car crash, Richard posted on his Instagram page a selfie of him and Anne that he took when the actress purchased a wig. The two flashed a smile in the image. "So I met @anneheche today and she purchased a #redwig so random...," he proudly captioned it.

Later that day, Anne was involved in a sequence of two car crashes in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles, first when the Mini Clubman she was driving hit a garage at an apartment complex, and second when she crashed into a house, resulting in a fire.

Anne was in a coma for roughly a week before she was declared legally dead by the state of California. Despite this, her heart carried on beating until the next day to help preserve her organs for donations, something Anne had wanted. On 14 August, the "Donnie Brasco" star was removed from life support.

A coroner report subsequently revealed her cause of death. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner, the "Wag the Dog" star died after inhaling smoke and thermal injuries. The 53-year-old also had a "sternal fracture due to blunt trauma," which was labelled a "significant condition," which typically take place after the chest smacks into the steering wheel after car collisions.
