During her appearance on 'Red Table Talk', April Simpkins reads the last text messages that her daughter sent her before the 30-year-old jumped to her death.

AceShowbiz - Cheslie Kryst left a suicide note before she tragically took her own life earlier this year. Now, her mother April Simpkins has revealed the content of the last text messages that she received from her daughter.

In an emotional episode of "Red Table Talk" which aired on Wednesday, May 4, April read Cheslie's heart-wrenching texts to her. In her last words, the former Miss USA wrote to her mom, "First, I'm sorry, by the time you get this, I won't be alive anymore. And it makes me even more sad to write this because I know it will hurt you the most."

April said her daughter sent the texts when she was in an exercise class. She believes Cheslie intentionally picked the time so she wouldn't be able to intervene. She additionally noted that she only read the messages an hour after they were sent.

"I love you mom, and you are my best friend, and the person I've lived for for years," April read the message while holding back tears. "I wish I could stay with you, but I cannot bear the crushing weight of persistent sadness, hopelessness, and loneliness any longer."

Cheslie told her mom, "I've never told you these feelings, because I never wanted you to worry, and because I hoped they would eventually change, but I know they never will. They follow me through every accomplishment, success, family gathering, friendly dinner."

"I cry almost every day now, like I'm in mourning. I wished for death for years. And I know you would want to know and want to help, but I haven't wanted to share this weight with anyone," the 30-year-old further shared about her struggles in her suicide note.

April continued to read as Jada Pinkett Smith appeared to hold back tears, while Willow Smith and Jada's mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris were tearing up, "Regardless of that, thank you sincerely for being there for me in some of my loneliness moments without me even telling you I needed you."

"You have kept me alive and ready to face another day, because you answer every phone call and you are there for me at the drop of a hat," Cheslie also said to her mother before her passing. "You listen to me and care when I tell you what goes on in my life and you've always made me feel like you loved me."

"I love you more than any person I've ever known. You've done nothing wrong, you've done everything right," Cheslie penned. April said her late daughter also included her final wishes and some personal information in the suicide note.

Highlighting her daughter's struggles which she kept hidden from the public, April noted, "Depression is not always marked by people laying in bed." She went on explaining, "There are people who are high functioning and getting through the day. Cheslie wore the face."

Cheslie, who was crowned Miss USA 2019, was found dead after allegedly jumping from her apartment building in Midtown Manhattan on January 30. Her death has been ruled a suicide by the coroner. Just hours before her death, the correspondent for "Extra" shared an alarming post on her Instagram account which read, "May this day bring you rest and peace," along with a red heart emoji.
