The Austrian-born TV producer is survived by the 'All My Children' actress, his two sons and two daughters, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a brother.

AceShowbiz - Susan Lucci is mourning the death of her husband, Helmut Huber. The Austrian-born TV producer, who married the "All My Children" star in 1969, passed away on Monday, March 28 in Long Island, New York. He was 84.

Confirming Helmut's death was a representative for the family. The rep further told PEOPLE, "A family man, he was a loyal friend, and loved them deeply... With a roaring sense of humor, larger-than-life personality, and a practical problem-solver, he lived his life to the fullest. Mr. Huber who formerly raced motorcycles in Austria was a first-rate skier, and avid golfer, belonging to the Garden City Golf Club and Westhampton Country Club."

Susan's publicist, Jessica Sciacchitano, meanwhile, said in a statement, "Helmut's passing is a tremendous loss for all who knew and loved him. He was an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, and friend." Jessica added, "The family kindly asks for privacy during this incredibly difficult time."

Helmut was survived by Susan, his two sons and two daughters, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a brother. His cause of death has yet to be revealed, but in lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions are made to the American Stroke Association in support of stroke awareness and research.

Upon learning the sad news, fans were quick to offer their condolences in Susan's January Instagram post that saw the couple's selfie. "My condolences to you, Susan & all of your family.....Helmut was a wonderful man & you two were a beautiful, loving couple together! He will be missed...especially the video's of watching him cook for you in the kitchen! My love to you all!" one person wrote.

"MY CONDOLENCES, LOVE AND PRAYERS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY," another individual added, while a third commented, "So very sorry for your loss!! Yours was a love story for the ages!! Sending condolences and prayers!" A different user, meanwhile, lamented, "Such sad news. You were the most wonderful couple. Helmut was a wonderful person."
