The former Victoria's Secret Angel teams up with the 'Queer Eye' savvy stylist as she replaces Alexa Chung in the upcoming season of the Netflix design competition show.

AceShowbiz - Gigi Hadid is adding hosting duties to her long list of accomplishments. The supermodel has signed on to co-host the second season of "Next in Fashion" alongside Tan France as she replaced Alexa Chung.

The design competition show announced that the 26-year-old catwalk beauty officially joined the show on Monday, January 31 via Instagram. "SOME NEWS: these two besties are hosting Next In Fashion Season 2! Casting is now open at netflixreality.com/NIF," the show captioned a sweet photo of the two.

Gigi and Tan also took to their own pages to share the news. Along with a series of their throwback photos, the pair wrote in the caption, "Who would have thought when we met over Facetime 4 years ago (thanks @evachen212) that we'd be hosting NEXT IN FASHION TOGETHER!" Their identical social media posts added, "You read that right! The secret's out. You better get ready, casting is now open at netflixreality.com/NIF @nextinfashion @netflix."

The reality TV show first premiered in January 2020, featuring Tan, the savvy stylist on "Queer Eye", and model/TV presenter Alexa as his partner. Initially canceled after its first season, the show is now returning with a new group of talented emerging designers, who will have the opportunity to show off their designs for the famed fashion stylist and the former Victoria's Secret Angel.

June last year, Gigi told i-D that she wanted a bit of a career change, noting that she felt it's time to pivot away from modeling in order to leave room for "a new face." In the interview, the mom of 1-year-old daughter Khai explained that she didn't need another magazine cover.

"Having had all my dreams come true in fashion, and saying, 'Now what?' I don't need another cover or campaign," Gigi said at the time, "I would rather leave that to a new face, someone for whom it would really change their life or career at this point." She added, "Where can I make way for that next generation and focus my energy and time on something else? Something that is obviously still in this world but is fulfilling for me creatively, and different."
