The 'Hole in a Bottle' hitmaker reveals she and husband Morgan Evans, who swapped vows in 2017, attend regular couples therapy to keep their marriage on track.

AceShowbiz - Kelsea Ballerini has credited regular couples therapy for keeping her marriage on track.

The country singer has written of her feelings about her parents' divorce in her new poetry book "Feel Your Way Through".

Now, she tells People magazine their failed marriage made her question whether she would ever walk down the aisle herself.

"I swore I was never going to get married," she says. "For so long, I just viewed their marriage as their divorce. As I got older, I was able to have conversations with them both about their marriage, pre-divorce and realised that there was beauty there, there was love there at some point. That helped me realise that I could find that."

Kelsea went on to find love with Morgan Evans and they married in 2017. And the "Hole in a Bottle" hitmaker is convinced her parents' divorce helped give her a more realistic outlook of marriage, adding, "I don't see it as a fairytale-esque, ride-off-into-the-sunset kind of thing. It's work, but it's worth it."

As part of the "work," the star also has regular therapy sessions with her other half.

"We go to couples therapy all the time," she explains. "We have really good couples friends that we vacation with, but we also can sit down with and have the hard conversations."

"We approach our relationship so differently, but he shows up - he shows up in every way he needs to."
