Many on social media are surprised after the 'See You Again' hitmaker shares a video of himself getting the fake beard applied to his face in much the same way as a hair weave.

AceShowbiz - Wiz Khalifa has made people do a double-take when they saw him in his recent social media posts. Having shared some videos of himself with a new lace-front beard, the "See You Again" hitmaker looked totally unrecognizable.

Making use of Instagram Story on Wednesday, June 2, the 33-year-old MC unveiled a clip of himself getting the fake beard applied to his face. He later showed off his final look in another video where he could be seen sporting an afro wig and a wide-brimmed hat.

Wiz's post then made its way to Twitter, leaving many people offering their two cents. One user in particular wrote, "lmao yo @wizkhalifa with a beard is hilarious." Another penned, "brooo wiz khalifa ain't s**t with that fake beard on." A third chimed in, "I thought it was a Snapchat filter ngl."

Some others, meanwhile, believed that the 10-time Grammy nominee wore the beard for his upcoming project. One individual speculated, "It could for a video or like movie or smth." Someone else sent similar sentiment, "I'm gonna assume it's for a movie or something like that . Peep his chest got make up to cover his tats.. mans is making moves out here lowkey!"

That aside, Wiz recently participated on "The Masked Singer" as the Chameleon. He, however, ended up in third place after performing "Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio. Later in the unmasked interview, he told host Nick Cannon that he joined the singing competition show because of his son.

"He's probably gonna be a little bit freaked out when he sees the Chameleon," he said of his son. "But yeah, it was for him. I'm a fun dad. I love to enjoy myself. I love to be myself. As much as I can encourage him to be himself and get into his imagination, sing, dance and be as crazy as possible. I'll be the best example of that for him."
