The 'Tree of Lyfe' singer sticks by his earlier statement in which he slammed the 'America's Next Top Model' alum for changing her daughter's surname from McCall to Sterling, and defends Kevin McCall again.

AceShowbiz - Lyfe Jennings is unfazed by online reactions he has received after slamming Eva Marcille for changing her daughter's name. The R&B singer has taken to Instagram to respond to the backlash, telling his followers that he's sticking by his earlier statement.

"I said what I said," he wrote in the now-deleted post. In the caption, the 41-year-old artist elaborated on his opinion in the family drama between Eva and her ex Kevin McCall. "And ment (sic) it. If he was a drug addict theres still hope for him. If he was in jail theres still hope for him. Never let ANYBODY tell you your (sic) not good enough," he said.

"To all my loyal fans, your redemption is coming!!!!!" he continued. "F**k what they say. We all fall short sometimes....may all the bridges you break be stacked up and used to stand on to reach the heights God has for you...it ain't over!!!! I swear it ain't."

He went on showing his support for Kevin, urging him to "fight back" for what's rightfully his. He added, "And to the little homie Kevin, get the help u need and fight back for you and yours...we rooting for u....Lyfe."

Lyfe previously weighed in on Eva's decision to change her daughter's last name from McCall to Sterling as her husband Michael Sterling adopted the little girl. "I think this is so wack. Changing ya daughters last name from her father's to somebody else's. Especially when the father tries to see her," he commented. "The daughter dont have anything to do with their beef. And what kind of man allows that????? S**t pissed me off. I expected better out of Eva.. s**t personal to me!!! I've been there."

People then told Lyfe to stop meddling in Eva and her daughter's life, while some others mocked him for not doing his research. "Don't speak on what you don't know," one comment read. Another suggested Lyfe supported Kevin because they have one thing in common, "Men who beat women stick up for men who beat women. Not surprised...."

Eva and Kevin split in 2014 after she gave birth to their daughter. The "America's Next Top Model" alum got custody of the child as she accused him of domestic violence. She then moved on with Michael Sterling and they got married in 2018.

As their split turned nasty in 2017, Kevin deleted his daughter's pictures from his social media page and publicly disowned the little girl. "If you want her so bad - you can have her. I'm deleting all memories of her," he ranted. "Out of sight out of mind. Erased from my memory. Go play games with another person it's not working anymore she's yours. Forever and you can keep her."

Kevin later retracted his statement, saying, "I didn't disown my child. I gave up on putting it on social media. The fight is in God's hands. You don't get to see that. Deal with it."
