An ambulance was called to her home in the San Fernando Valley, California on Monday morning (December 30), according to TMZ, and she was taken to a local medical centre.

The actress has suffered health issues for years and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1999. She also suffered a brain aneurysm in late 2006, but recovered and returned to acting until she retired in 2011.

Details of the latest medical issue have not been released.
