In a new interview, the 27-year-old singer admits he's still 'pretty mad' at his former One Direction groupmate for chatting 'a lot of s**t' about the group after his departure.

AceShowbiz - It's been years since Zayn Malik announced his departure from One Direction, but Louis Tomlinson has yet to be ready to forgive his former for all the things he had done and said after his exit. In a new interview with Metro, the 27-year-old singer was asked whether or not he could forgive the "Dusk Till Dawn" hitmaker.

In response, Louis admitted, "I just don't think I am mature enough, even in my own head, to give that a real answer. At the moment, I am still pretty mad about the whole thing. I don't think he [Zayn] handled it very well. But never say never. Who knows? He chatted a lot of s**t in the early days. I thought One Direction were pretty good."

For those who need a refresher, Zayn left the boyband in March 2015 because of "the level of scrutiny he gets put under," and there had been a ton of drama ever since. For instance, the 26-year-old dissed the album, "Made in the A.M.", that the members recorded without him. "I heard the second single and," he said at the time, twisting his face. "Yeah, I didn't buy the album."

Things slightly got better between them after Louis' mom passed away in 2016, when he shared that her mother's "dying wish" was for him "to get back in contact with Zayn" because "life's too f***ing short." The two were on good terms for a while, until the "PillowTalk" singer failed to appear at Louis' first performance after his mom's death.

"I had a couple of calls with him after I lost my mom, and all the boys had agreed to come to that performance, and he didn't show, so that really bugged me... It was just seeing everyone there--Harry, Niall and Liam--that was what I needed that night, that support," he said at the time. "So on the other end of the spectrum, it kind of really showed. So, eh, I hope he's alright, but..."
