In a legal document submitted by his attorney, the 'Aladdin' star offers details of the 2018 incident wherein he crashed his newly-bought car into a tree while changing lanes on Hollywood Boulevard.

AceShowbiz - "Aladdin" star Mena Massoud is taking Tesla bosses to court following a 2018 car crash in Los Angeles.

The Canadian actor, who plays the titular role in the hit Disney live-action remake, claims his new Tesla Model 3 had manufacturing and design defects, which caused him to hit a tree while changing lanes on Hollywood Boulevard.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ and filed by Massoud's attorney Kevin K. Javidzad, the accident took place one day after Massoud purchased the vehicle.

The Disney star claims the front right wheel suddenly crumpled and flew right off the car, which resulted in the vehicle skidding onto the pavement and smashing into a tree.

Massoud insists he suffered personal injuries from the crash, which totalled his new ride, and he believes the blame lies firmly with Tesla executives.

Tesla officials have yet to comment on the lawsuit.
