AceShowbiz - Slim Jxmmi apparently would not just let a DJ have his way when he was performing on stage. The one half of Rae Sremmurd was recently caught in a video attacking a DJ during a concert at the University of North Florida's OZFEST spring concert after the latter allegedly refused to play the song that Jxmmi requested.
In a footage which was obtained by TMZ, Jxmmi could be seen jumping to the DJ booth and throwing a few punches at a man before people dragged him away from the DJ. According to eyewitness, the rapper and the record spinner even jawed at each other before Jxmmi entered the booth and started swinging on the guy. Police were allegedly not called during the incident.
Jxmmi later went backstage to cool off his head for about 15 minutes before eventually returning to the stage and continued performing. The DJ who was attacked still accompanied his performance, though things went smoothly this time around. His brother, Swae Lee, was also there when the altercation took place, but he did not perform.
Even though witnesses believed that the fight was caused by song selection, an insider told TMZ it wasn't the case. The person whom Jxmmi punched was allegedly from the lighting department, and they didn't fight because of song selection. It was said that the rapper was just defending his crew member who got into a clash with the victim earlier in the night.
Reps for Jxmmi have yet to comment on the report.
This isn't the first time Jxmmi gets involved in an altercation this year. Back in January, the 27-year-old got into a brawl that turned bloody in New Zealand. Per the report, Jxmmi and some friends were sight-seeing in downtown Auckland when they noticed that they were being recorded. Not feeling pleased with that, Jxmmi and his friends later fought the people who recorded them. One person ended up being taken to hospital.
