AceShowbiz - Katie Holmes sparked new engagement rumors after she was spotted wearing a diamond ring on that finger. The 39-year-old actress rocked the new sparkler when she's pictured on the set of her upcoming movie "The Secret" in New Orleans on Tuesday, October 30.
The Joey Potter of 1990s-2000s series "Dawson's Creek" stepped out with her co-star Jerry O'Connell to grab some coffee. Holding her phone in her left hand, she flashed that suspicious bling on her ring finger. According to Popsugar which obtained the pictures, the mother of one was in good spirits, smiling while chatting with Jerry during a coffee stop.
Later that evening, Katie met up with her boyfriend Jamie Foxx who has also been in town to film his upcoming movie "Just Mercy". The pair reportedly stopped by Michaels where the "Annie" actor was seen talking on the phone while Katie was shopping around.
The fact that Katie's wearing that diamond ring and she has been dating Jamie for quite a long time naturally set off speculation that she's engaged to the 50-year-old actor. Her representative, however, has quickly debunked it, saying that the ring is just a movie prop. The rep further explains to Page Six that Katie's sporting the ring because her character in the film is engaged to Jerry's character. "Katie's not engaged to anyone besides her fictional movie fiance, played by Jerry O'Connell," the rep insists.
This isn't the first time Katie was hit with engagement rumors. Back in March 2016, she was reported to have been engaged to Jamie after she was seen rocking a similar ring on her left hand. Her rep said at the time that the "Batman Begins" star "is not married or engaged to anyone."
Katie and Jamie's romance rumors first surfaced five years ago, but they have yet to confirm their relationship status despite numerous sightings together. In June, Katie and Jamie were hit with split rumors. Addressing their relationship for the first time, the Joey Potter of "Dawson's Creek" said through a representative that the claims were "100 per cent untrue."
