AceShowbiz - Drake proved that he has a heart of gold by paying a surprise visit at Lurie's Children Hospital of Chicago on Monday, August 20. The "God's Plan" rapper decided to visit 11-year-old heart transplant patient Sofia Sanchez after she posted a video of herself asking Drake to visit her on her birthday.
"Hi, my name is Sofia, my birthday is this weekend, this Saturday, and I love your music," the little fan said in the video, while sitting on a hospital bed. "And I was hoping if you could come to me for my birthday anytime this week. I'm at Lurie's Children Hospital of Chicago because I have a heart failure."
Drake then granted her wish and Sofia was really excited when she met her idol. "Oh my God!" she screamed as the 31-year-old rapper walked into her hospital room. "You asked me to come, I'm here," Drake told her as Sofia still opened her mouth in disbelief. The two then took a picture together and the Canadian rapper posted it on his Instagram account. "Me and my love Sofia talking about [Justin Bieber] and Owls and Basketball," he wrote in the caption.
"I'm so happy I got to see you," Drake said, to which Sofia replied excitedly, "I'm so happy you came!" The rapper also brought her some of his merchandise and sang "God's Plan" to her as it's her favorite song.
Prior to the surprise visit, Sofia posted a video of herself doing "In My Feelings" challenge in the hospital's hallway. In the footage, Sofia, who donned a blue sleveless T-shirt, was seen sitting on a wheelchair, while a male nurse pushed the wheelchair from behind. She then stood up from the chair and started to dance as Drake's hit song could be heard playing in the background. Her cousin joined in the fun and danced next to her.
Drake's "In My Feelings" recently scored a sixth week at number one on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.
