AceShowbiz - "The Meg" cast stormed off the TCL Chinese Theatre for the movie premiere in Los Angeles on Monday night, August 6. Jason Statham led the pack, who also included his co-stars such as Ruby Rose, Rainn Wilson, Cliff Curtis, Li Bingbing, Masi Oka and Clifton Collins Jr., as well as director Jon Turteltaub and producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura.
The special screening attracted a number of fellow Hollywood stars, namely Sylvester Stallone, Ian Ziering and Witney Carson. Some guests brought along their family members, like Statham who came with his fiancee Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
"The Meg" follows a team of international underwater observation program, which is under attack by an unknown danger. As they are trapped at the bottom of the Mariana Trench, former Naval Captain and expert deep sea diver Jonas Taylor (Statham) is recruited by Dr. Zhang Suyin, lead oceanographer of the program, for what is likely a suicide mission.
The movie is ready to open wide in the U.S. on August 10.
Jason Statham suited up in a dark blue suit, while his longtime partner Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looked beautiful in a figure-hugging black gown.
Li Bingbing, Ruby Rose and Jessica McNamee joined forces to fight the killer shark in the movie and to promote the movie at the red carpet event.
Rainn Wilson, who grows his grayish beard, looked serious while posing on the ocean-themed carpet.
Cliff Curtis looked suave in his blue suit.
Masi Oka's style is not much different from his character's in the movie.
Clifton Collins Jr. defied the common neat-looking style at red carpet events with his super laid-back look.
Page Kennedy added color to his nearly all-black outfit with a bright pink handkerchief on his pocket.
Helmer Jon Turteltaub wouldn't miss the event.
Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, who co-produces the movie, was also spotted at the premiere.
Sylvester Stallone excitedly reunited with his "The Expendables" co-star at the event.
Having battled sharks in the "Sharknado" movie series, Ian Ziering went casual as he supported "The Meg" premiere.
Cassie Scerbo, who also stars in the "Sharknado" movie series, showed some skin in a lace underwear as she left her blazer unbuttoned.
David Koechner brought along his family members to the screening of the PG13-rated movie.
Not feeling blue despite the sea-themed premiere, "Dancing with the Stars" pro Witney Carson opted for a sweet style in a pink off-the-shoulder dress.
