Set to Radiohead's 'Everything in Its Right Place', the trailer begins with shots of various rooms before showing the actress sitting on a plush chair.

AceShowbiz - The first trailer of "Homecoming" has arrived for viewing pleasure. The clip, which was unearthed during Amazon Studios' panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2018 on Friday, July 20, offers a glimpse of Julia Roberts' character on the psychological thriller series.

Set to Radiohead's "Everything in Its Right Place", the 50-second clip shows shots of various rooms, including an office, kitchen, bedroom and hallway. The scene then changes to Roberts sitting on a plush chair. She rocks a short bob with bangs and wears a forest-green dress with a black blazer and heels. "Shall we get started?" the actress tells an unseen patient as she turns on her tape recorder.

Based on a popular 2017 podcast of the same name, "Homecoming" follows Heidi Bergman (Roberts), a caseworker at the Homecoming Transitional Support Center. It is a Geist Group facility which helps soldiers transition back to civilian life. Walter Cruz (Stephen James) is one of these soldiers, eager to begin the next phase of his life. Overseeing Heidi and the facility is Colin Belfast (Bobby Cannavale), an ambitious company man whose manic demands point to questionable motives.

Four years later, Heidi has started a new life, living with her mother (Sissy Spacek) and working as a small-town waitress, when a Department of Defense auditor (Shea Whigham) comes to her with questions about why she left the Homecoming facility. Heidi begins to realize that there's a whole other story behind the story she's been telling herself.

During the panel, showrunner Sam Email explained that he loved the podcast and didn't want to change it in the adaptation. He said that the series is not a whole different world, but "there is stuff there that will surprise some people."

"Homecoming" will premiere on November 2 on Amazon Prime Video. The series has already been picked up for a second season.
