AceShowbiz - Comedian Andy Dick has pleaded not guilty after he was accused of sexual battery earlier this month.

The funnyman officially entered the plea in a Los Angeles court on Wednesday, July 18 after a woman alleged he grabbed her bottom twice and made lewd comments as he walked past her on a Los Angeles street in April.

The charges come months after it was revealed Dick, who has struggled with addiction issues, was fired from two films, "Raising Buchanan" and "Vampire Dad", over allegations of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behaviour late last year.

The 52 year old also made headlines recently after a 2007 clip from "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" resurfaced, showing him rubbing Ivanka Trump's legs as she slapped his hands away. In the footage, Kimmel defends Donald Trump's daughter by urging Dick to stop.

Dick has also been at the centre of troubles at home - his longtime partner Lena Sved was granted a permanent restraining order against him in March over allegations he became violent after drinking. He was ordered to vacate the family home and stay away from Sved, their children Jacob and Meg, and her daughter Rachel Seff.
