AceShowbiz - The Recording Academy has announced this year's Lifetime Achievement Awards honorees. Among them are Queen, rock superstar Tina Turner, singer-songwriter Neil Diamond and country legend Emmylou Harris.

The organization behind the Grammys also announced musicians who will be presented with two other Special Merit Awards at the annual event. This year's Trustee Award honorees include rock concert pioneer Bill Graham and Oscar-winning composer John Williams. Meanwhile, Tony Agnello and Richard Factor, who helped build the audio company Eventide, will receive Technical Grammy Award.

"This year's Special Merit Awards recipients are a prestigious group of diverse and influential creators who have crafted or contributed to some of the most distinctive recordings in music history," Nell Portnow, President of the Recording Academy, said in a statement. "These exceptionally inspiring figures are being honored as legendary performers, creative architects and technical visionaries. Their outstanding accomplishment and passion for their craft have created a timeless legacy."

Prior to this, the organization announced the first lineup of performers at the upcoming event. The list includes Lady GaGa, Pink, Childish Gambino a.k.a Donald Glover and Little Big Town. This will mark Gambino's first performance at the event, while GaGa will perform for the sixth time.

Furthermore, all four of the confirmed performers have been nominated for multiple awards this year. While GaGa is up for two awards, the "Beautiful Trauma" songstress is in the running for Best Pop Solo Performance Award for her song "What About Us".

This year's list of nominees is dominated by Jay-Z, with eight nods including Record of the Year and Best Rap Song for "The Story of O.J." Kendrick Lamar and Bruno Mars follow closely behind with seven nods.

The 60th Grammy Awards will take place on January 28 at New York City's Madison Square Garden. James Corden will be returning as the host.
