A new report suggested that the former Dutch model made the disgraced TV host vacate the family home on Christmas Day even though Matt 'tried to plead his case.'

AceShowbiz - Despite being spotted spending days leading up to Christmas together, it seems like things between Matt Lauer and his wife Annette Roque are not going for the better. A new report revealed that the former model refused to see him on Christmas Day and went all the way to kick the disgraced TV host out of the family home.

"She had allowed him to live on their property, but she didn't want to be around Matt for Christmas," an insider claimed to In Touch magazine (via HollywoodLife.com) in their January 8 issue.

"Annette didn't pull the trigger [on any legal action] right away because of the kids," the insider continued. "But she could not longer separate rumor from fact when it came to his sexual misdeeds and abuse of power…[she] told him to leave. Matt tried to plead his case, but Annette cut him off."

On Saturday, December 23, Lauer, who was fired from "Today" over multiple sexual harassment accusations, was spotted at the Bright Side Farm, where wife and Romy Lauer, their 14-year-old daughter, were waiting inside. Later that day, the 59-year-old TV personality was spotted stepping out with his sons, Jack Lauer (16) and Thijs Lauer (11), over the Christmas weekend.

There have been divorce rumors going on between Matt and Annette. 50-year-old Roque recently was spotted visiting law firm Latham & Watkins in Manhattan, New York City. Looking stern, the former Dutch model, who wore an olive turtle neck, a fur sleeveless coat and white pants, looked somber as she carried a clutch in one of her hands.

Her dad, Henry, further fueled the divorce rumors. "I have no words for her husband. What he has done is bad. Everybody feels betrayed," Henry said. "She is not going to stay with him and work it out. They are not together trying to work it out."
