The 23-year-old British reportedly was not arrested, but 'was held at the airport for a while and then put back on a plane to London,' forcing him to miss the Netflix series' season 2 premiere bash.

AceShowbiz - Did you notice that one cast member of "Stranger Things" was absent from the show's second season premiere party last night? British actor Charlie Heaton was denied access to the U.S. after being caught with cocaine at LAX, The Sun reported. The 23-year-old reportedly was sent back to the U.K., forcing him to miss the premiere.

The site claimed that Heaton was caught by drug-sniffing dogs at LAX on last Saturday afternoon, October 21, before a "very small amount" of white powder was found on his luggage. It was later allegedly confirmed to be cocaine.

According to TMZ, the actor, who plays Jonathan Byers on the hit Netflix sci-fi series, was allowed to withdraw his application to enter the country since he didn't have a previous record. The Sun further stated that Heaton "was not arrested," but "he was held at the airport for a while and then put back on a plane to London that night."

The site noted that he might be charged should he carry a large amount of drugs. "But if it is personal use, the consequences are that you will not be allowed in to the country. U.S. law is very strict on this," a source told the site.

It was reported that Heaton would be allowed to enter the U.S. again if he reapplies for admission. Meanwhile, his fellow "Stranger Things" co-stars, including rumored girlfriend Natalia Dyer, were spotted celebrating the launch of the sophomore season in Los Angeles on Thursday, October 26.

A rep for the Yorkshire-born star told The Sun, "I have no comment to make." Netflix, meanwhile, refused to respond to both the cocaine allegation and Heaton's future on the series, which stars Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryder, David Harbour and more.
