AceShowbiz - A reboot of the 1998 classic "Charmed" is coming to The CW. The channel has confirmed that they are ordering a one-hour pilot script of the new version of the WB series, which starred Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano and Rose McGowan as the witches.
In response to the news, Holly, who played Piper Halliwell on the original show, posted on her Twitter account, "We wish them well."

Meanwhile, Alyssa, who portrayed Phoebe Halliwell, tweeted, "#Charmed fans! There are no fans like you. You're the best of the best."

The actress then posted a throwback picture with "Charmed" guest star Billy Zane on Instagram, showing herself dancing with the actor. "#tbt 2005 with @billyzane #charmed," she captioned the photo.
The new version will revolve around three witches, Annie, Paige and Tina, who come together to fight the forces of evil in a New England town in 1976. Annie is a Caucasian. She is described as an intense and smart person. She has a bad temper, but deep inside she is a person who desperate to love and to be loved.
Paige is also a Caucasian. She has a curvy body and cheerful personality. Her main goal in life is to marry a rich doctor and be a wife and mother. Though her name is similar to that of McGowan's character, it seems like there's no clear connection between them. Meanwhile, Tina is a whip-smart African-American. She can be reserved sometimes, even standoffish in uncomfortable situations, but she picks up on everything and she has a quick and accurate judgments about people.
The reboot project will be executive produced by Jennie Snyder Urman ("Jane the Virgin"), while Jessica O'Toole and Amy Rardin will pen the script.
