'Avengers: Infinity War' May Block Jeremy Renner's Return to 'Mission: Impossible 6'

The William Brandt of the 'M:I' movie franchise is not sure that he will be able to return because he will be spending 'a lot of next year' filming his part in the third 'Avengers' movie.

AceShowbiz - Jeremy Renner is not sure that he will be able to return to "Mission: Impossible 6". While talking about his latest movie "Arrival" with Collider, the 45-year-old actor revealed that he probably could not be back as agent William Brandt because of Marvel's "Avengers: Infinity War".

" 'M:I 6', I'm not sure what's happening. I know they ('Mission: Impossible 6' producers) really want to get it going and having spoken to [Tom Cruise] about where it's at I know there might be some conflict with schedules, I'm not sure what's going to happen," Renner said.

It's already known that "M:I 6" and the third "Avengers" movie are going to begin filming soon for their 2018 release. Renner mentioned that he would be spending "a lot of next year" filming his part for the latter, reprising his role as Clint Barton a.k.a. Hawkeye. "I certainly hope it doesn't ultimately get in the way of Tom and I and the gang getting back together for that because I'd love to," he expressed his concern.

Renner is very enthusiastic to reunite with Cruise, but it's clearly hard for him to be back. As it's been announced, both "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers 4" will be filmed back-to-back. The third and fourth "Avengers" movies will be released on May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019 respectively.

Meanwhile, "M:I 6" is set for a July 27, 2018 release in U.S. theaters. In addition to Cruise, who will be back as IMF agent Ethan Hunt, the confirmed returning cast member is Rebecca Ferguson, who will once again portray undercover agent Ilsa Faust.
