AceShowbiz - Charlie Puth finally broke his silence and set the record straight on rumors that he once hooked up with Selena Gomez. Stopping by "The Elvis Duran Show", the 24-year-old singer denied that he had a special relationship with the "Hands to Myself" hitmaker, saying that they're just "friends."
At one point during the interview, the "One Call Away" crooner said that he wanted to find his future wife and Elvis Duran automatically asked him about Selena. "We're friends. I'm not dating Selena Gomez," Charlie said. "There is nothing to say."
Though the "See You Again" hitmaker stressed that there's nothing special between him and Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend, it doesn't mean that he hates her. When the host asked whether or not he wanted to see Selena in the front row of one of his shows, he said, "I hope so."
Elvis and other hosts' investigation didn't stop there. One of them asked if Charlie ever had a romantic relationship with Meghan Trainor, his "Marvin Gaye" duet partner. Charlie simply replied, "I never dated Meghan Trainor."
Charlie later joked about ridiculous dating rumors, saying that "Adele would not go for a bloke like me." The singer also recalled a hilarious moment with Elvis when they were at an afterparty in Miami. At the time, the 51-year-old radio host tried to find Charlie a girl "to bang," but the plan didn't work because the girl ended up leaving. "I hung out with Shawn Mendes," Charlie revealed.
