After speeding in Hollywood earlier this month, the 'NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service' actor could face a maximum of six months in jail and up to $1,000 in fines.

AceShowbiz - Michael Weatherly is reportedly threatened to spend his days in jail. According to TMZ, the "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" actor was charged with DUI after speeding in Hollywood earlier this month.
Law enforcement sources told the news outlet that the actor was stopped for speeding late night at around 1 A.M. As the cops suspected that Michael consumed alcohol, they asked him to take sobriety tests. The result showed that his blood alcohol content was far above the legal limit.
For breaching the law, Michael had to spend almost 15 hours behind bars. Furthermore, the L.A. City Attorney charged him with two counts of DUI. If convicted, the 47-year-old actor could face a maximum of six months in jail and up to $1,000 in fines. Nevertheless, the news outlet claimed that jail time is highly unlikely given that it was his first offense. The actor hasn't commented on the report yet.
The DUI report came a year after Michael revealed he adopted healthy lifestyle. Last year, Michael revealed that he lost 35 lbs by exercising and reducing carbohydrate from his diet. "I was really gratified when I went into wardrobe at the start of the season [of 'NCIS'] and could fit in a season 1 jacket," he told PEOPLE.
Though Michael was happy about his body transformation, he explained that the importance was gaining more energy and stamina. "Most importantly, I had more energy and more stamina. It's very hard. I go through periods of working so hard, I don't know when to exercise," he told the publication. "And I'm surrounded by some food options that wouldn't be my first choice. But you do the best you can."
