The ballad was seemingly inspired by Adele's vocal issue that forced her to cancel shows on her tour a few years ago.

AceShowbiz - Sia Furler has unveiled a brand new song off her upcoming album, "This Is Acting". The Australian singer/songwriter dropped on Wednesday, November 3 "Bird Set Free", which is another track she originally wrote for Adele but ended up getting rejected by the British star.

The ballad was seemingly inspired by Adele's vocal issue that forced her to cancel shows on her tour a few years ago. "Clipped wings, I was a broken thing/ Had a voice, had a voice but I could not sing," Sia sings before adding on the chorus, "I'm not gon' care if I sing off key/ I find myself in my melodies/ I sing for love, I sing for me/ I shout it out like a bird set free."

"Bird Set Free" was penned by Sia for Adele's new album "25". In an interview with Ryan Seacrest last month, Sia said that Adele did record the track, but the 27-year-old blonde's version failed to make the cut to the record's final tracklist.

"This Is Acting" is scheduled for release on January 29, 2016. Marking Sia's first album since last year's "1000 Forms of Fear", the set is led by "Alive", which was also written for and rejected by Adele.
