AceShowbiz - The first musical guests for the new season of "Saturday Night Live" are announced. Miley Cyrus is recruited to pull a double duty as a musical guest and host on the NBC sketch show during the premiere episode on October 3.
Miley is fresh off her hosting gig at the MTV Video Music Awards where she had an onstage catfight with Nicki Minaj. At the end of the event, she released for free "Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz", a joint album with The Flaming Lips.
After the Miley episode, The Weeknd is scheduled to take the stage on the "SNL" on October 10 with Amy Schumer serving as a host. The R&B singer just released his second studio album "Beauty Behind the Madness".
Demi Lovato will perform on the following weekend of October 17 with "SNL" alum Tracy Morgan as an emcee. It will mark his official return to comedy since he was involved in a horrific car accident that killed his friend James "Jimmy Mack" McNair. Demi, meanwhile, is promoting her next studio effort, "Confident", which is slated for October 16.
